| When you put two people side by side, one being the most physically weak people you've ever seen, and the other being strong as an ox, which one would you pick for your team?
Ok, let me put some things in a different perspective now. The one as strong as an ox is loved by people. He/she walks through the halls at school with his/her head up, chest out, and ready to please whoever wants to be pleased by their ability to strut their stuff.
The one who is physically weak walks through the halls with his/her head up as well, but with their posture at a normal stature, showing humility. Nobody wants to be pleased by this "nobody", because he/she refuses to please anyone of this world's standards.
A war is fought every day for these two people, fighting the temptations of the world. The strong looking person gives in every day, and eventually gives up trying, so he/she loses this battle he/she fights in every day. The weak looking person is tempted more each time, but says "no" without flinching. He/she wins this battle every day, enlarging their territory in the Kingdom of heaven.
Life is a battle. The war has been won for us Christians, but to abuse the blood of Christ would be suicide in each battle we fight in every day. You call yourselves Christians. Do you know what that word means? You call yourself Holy, and you are to the extent which you give up, but do you know what that word means? What am I talking about here? You give into alcohol, and you think it's ok. You give into smoking and pot and sex, and you think it's ok. What do you call yourselves now? Do you call yourself a Christian? Do you call yourself Holy? I go onto all these myspace sites every day and see how quickly people are to proudly admit that they drink. Where have all my brothers and sisters gone? You have given in to the world. Do you think this world is in the control of God or in the control of Satan? If you were confused, it's Satan! God's city is above, not below! This world has nothing for you but evil! Alcohol is evil! Sex before marriage is evil! Smoking, dipping, chewing tobacco, pot, meth, cocaine is evil! You proudly admit yourselves Christians as well, but at the same time that you drink beer?..... you contradict yourselves! You call yourselves Christians? Yes, I call you a Christian who has been born into heaven, but I refuse to call you a Christ-follower. Yes, I call you a Christian, but I call you a Christian who is still drinking your milk! Milk is baby's food! Grow up! You are so vulnerable to defeat like a child! You lose your battles every day.
Thank God for the blood of Christ! That his blood may restore your sins every day! But until you put this truth into play, never would I put the physically strong person on my team before I put the spiritually unbeatable "nobody" on my team. If you are really a Christ follower, you will say no to the world. You will endure pain and suffering. You will endure mocking, ridicule, and rejection. But without this stamina on earth, what reward is there above?
I tell you the truth, You who give into this world are weak. But you who say "no", followed by spitting in the face and a beating without one word coming from your mouth are strong. And I would be honored to fight the good fight with you on the front line with Jesus Christ himself, who endured more pain for the sake of our salvation than we can fathom. Only the strong survive.... Without fear, without fail, without flinching.
